How to Measure Slack
- Consult your motorcycle owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommended chain slack (usually measured midway between sprockets).
- Place your bike on a paddock stand or side stand as specified by your manual.
- Attach the ChainSlack tool to the lower run of the drive chain, precisely midway between the front and rear sprockets.
